INTERNSHIPS

FCA Japan periodically employs student interns for periods when they are not in school. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is a company of leaders. The FCA Japan Internship is aiming to support the young talents to have great experience for their future career plan.

The purpose of this policy is to outline responsibilities and to ensure interns have a productive stay with the company.

FEATURES:

FCA Japan offers three internship options:

  1. Non-Paid intern:TERM: up to 2 weeksTARGET: UndergraduatePROGRAM: enable students to experience automobile industry working in FCA Japan
  2. Holiday Paid internTERM: up to 3 monthsTARGET: Undergraduate (Non-Paid intern experience with FCA required)PROGRAM: enables students to have practical on-the-job training in FCA with employment experience related to their areas of specialization or their future careers assigning a project or opportunity to participate on an on-going business.
  3. Long-Term Paid InternTERM: up to 9 monthsTARGET: Graduate or Undergraduate (members of university automobile club) Non-paid internship experience requiredPROGRAM: enables students to have practical on-the-job training in FCA with employment experience related to their areas of specialization or their future careers assigning a project or opportunity to participate on an on-going business. This program is to support students in graduate school or members of university automobile club.

ORIENTATION:

An intern will be provided with an abbreviated orientation program that will highlight key aspects of the position the intern will be engaged in as well as all company policies with which he or she will be expected to conform during the specific term of employment. This orientation will exclude any discussion of programs and policies, including compensation and benefits plans, which do not apply to interns.

Department OrientationOn the day-1, each intern will be provided with an in-depth review of department functions and activities and the interaction of these activities with the work the student worker will be performing.

Final report and out-processingIn the week in which an intern’s assignment ends, the department manager will provide a final progress report by the educational institution the student attends. The HR department will schedule an out-processing interview to be conducted on the day preceding the student worker’s last day of work.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Driver’s License preferable
  • Language Proficiencies: English and Japanese
  • If foreign nationals, valid working visa in Japan required for paid internship
  • Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint, Excel)/Gmail
